Man Tracking:

Level 1 overview:

• Basic tracking techniques
• Dynamics of a footprint
• Track and sign
• Lost track procedures
• Effects of aging and weather
• Track pit exercise
• Micro tracking exercise
• Tracking team exercise

Ground search and rescue is used to locate missing persons in back country and rural areas. Understanding loss person behaviour and proper search techniques can greatly increase your chance of success in an emergency situation.
